Looking for new equipment

Looking for new equipment is a ritual activity that every WP (Wannabe Photographer) has to go through. Multiplicity of websites are bookmarked and daily checked, forums are constantly searched for the next best thing, the technical for the shoot that will make you famous. Comparing the new equipment to your friend’s equipment is a secret ritual, undergone after major purchases. The ritual can range from non cliché phrase "Oh that is my new filter" to more detailed "This is FS 72 millimeter neutral density filter" to the most obnoxious "You have to seen the kick ass lenses I bought yesterday", the listener has to immediately recognize the kickassenes of the purchase and remark on some statistics that he/she heard about the mentioned product. Five minute conversation about the product must be held where both parties will exchange mutual love for the product and quote various sources in order to solidify the purchase or to give blessing to the purchase. Never under any circumstances mention that you camera is better even if it is, unless you want to loose your photo buddy.
